SENIOR PASTOR:
Rev. Michael Sheehan, Senior Pastor was born January 7, 1958 in Cleveland,Tenn.

Pastor Sheehan was married to Kathy Ochsner Sheehan May 26, 1984. They have three children Sarah Lindsay born March 16, 1987, Anna Michelle born July 14, 1990 and Nathan Michael born May 16, 1997.

Pastor Sheehan graduated from Wade Hampton High School in 1976. He attended Mars Hill College and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Religion Major. He went to Southeastern Baptist Seminary where he received a Masters Degree in Christian Education and Languages.

Pastor Sheehan was Licensed to Preach in 1976 by Taylors First Baptist Church, Taylors S.C. Later he was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in 1986 at Wakeminster Baptist Church in Raleigh, N.C.

Pastor Sheehan has ministered as Minister of Youth at Central Baptist Church Darlington, S.C beginning in 1978. He was Minister of Youth at Carolina Baptist Association in Hendersonville N.C. 1980. He served as Minister of Youth at Pinecrest Presbyterian Church in Hendersonville N.C. 1981. His ministry continued as Minister of Youth and Assistant to Pastor at Lewisburg Baptist Church 1983. He was Pastor at Wakeminster Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC 1986. Pastor Sheehan came to serve as * Pastor at Cross Roads Baptist Church in 1989. In 1992 he went to Morgan Mill Road Baptist Church as Pastor then as Pastor at Travelers Rest First Baptist Church in 1998. He has returned as * Pastor at Cross Roads Baptist Church in 2004.

Pastor Sheehan’s hobbies and interests are chess, guitar, farming, Boxer Bull dogs, wood work and construction.

ASSOCIATE PASTOR:
Joey Estes, Associate Pastor. He married his high school sweetheart, Lisa Crook, February 16, 1985. They have one son, Tyler, who has been called into Full Time Christian Ministry.
They live in Mauldin, SC.

Joey graduated from Woodruff High School in 1981. He then attended Spartanburg Community College and was majoring in Business Management before he transferred to North Greenville University. He finished North Greenville in 1990 with an Associate Degree in Science. Joey then transferred to Gardner-Webb University where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1993.

Joey, our Choir Minister enjoys music and so many other things, but spending time with his family is what he enjoys the most!

God is doing so much in Joey’s life and he loves talking with Him through prayer and listening to Him in the stillness of moments! Through all things – God is Good!

ASSISTANT PASTOR OF STUDENTS/ COLLEGE:
Heath Carruth joined the staff in May, 1998. He is originally from Roebuck, SC (Spartanburg County) He graduated from Dorman High School in 1994. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies from North Greenville College (now University) in 1999.

Heath is married to Lacey Doughty Carruth and they have 2 beautiful daughters Olivia and Claire.

Heath’s passion is to reach teenagers with the love of Jesus Christ and discipling them to become mature and genuine disciples of Jesus .

During his free time Heath loves spending time with his family, hanging out with students, reading, golf, fishing, coaching football and Clemson University Sports (especially football). You can contact him at hac176@yahoo.com.

MINISTER OF CHILDREN:
Lou Ann Jenkins, Minister of Children was born in Sylacauga, AL.  She grew up living in many places across the United States and spent half of her teenage years in England while her father served in the Air Force.  His last assignment took them to Plattsburgh, NY where she graduated from high school in 1988.

 For college, she returned to Alabama to attend Samford University majoring in Elementary Education.  She completed her degree at The University of South Carolina – Spartanburg (now Upstate) with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology minoring in Education.

 Upon graduation, she went to work for Pelham Road Baptist Church as the Director of their Child Development Center and eventually also became Children’s Minister.  It was during that time that she met and married her husband, Case Jenkins in 2000.  They now have 2 children, Austin, born in 2004 and Taylor, born in 2005.

 She began serving as Children’s Minister at Cross Roads in January of 2007.  She worked with others on the staff to start the Weekday Education Ministry in September of 2008.

Lou Ann’s favorite pass times are reading, listening to Christian music and spending time with her family.  Her ministry passions include VBS, summer camps and just ‘hanging out’ with the kids.
